New: Large-format greenhouse films 14 m and 16 m for industrial greenhouse complexes

20 August , 2021

This spring, wide-format UV6 XL greenhouse films were introduced to our product range. Through specialized modifying additives incorporated into the individual layers of these greenhouse films, we control the optical properties and mechanical strength of the film, accelerate crop ripening, and increase overall yields. These advanced greenhouse films possess unique thermal, mechanical, and optical properties, making them ideal for crop protection, growth enhancement, and meeting the diverse needs of agricultural producers in nearly any climatic condition.

Our wide-format UV6 XL greenhouse films are manufactured using a 7-layer co-extrusion technology of layers with varying thicknesses, which improves the film’s properties through the precise application of raw materials into each individual layer.

The Outer Layer
The outer layer provides our film with rigidity and tear resistance. For this purpose, we incorporated an EVA copolymer into the outer layer, which ensures high light transmission, excellent mechanical properties, and increases the strength and elasticity of the film, even at low temperatures. The film features a wide operational temperature range.

This layer is the first to come into contact with the external environment, and therefore the first to receive solar radiation. For this reason, we introduced an additional package of UV stabilizers into the outer layer, providing superior protection for the remaining layers beneath it.

The Core Layers
The core layers feature a high EVA content to provide excellent clarity and elasticity. We have also added an IR (infrared radiation absorbent), which helps retain heat inside the greenhouse, compensates for day and night temperature fluctuations, and creates an optimal thermal effect that accelerates crop ripening by up to 2 weeks.

The Inner Layer
In the inner layer, we added an AF (anti-fog) agent, which modifies the surface properties of the film. As a result, water does not accumulate into large droplets that fall onto plants and trigger diseases. Instead, condensation gathers into tiny droplets and spreads as a uniform layer across the film surface, preventing fog formation and eliminating light transmission losses.

How Greenhouse Film Affects Yield and Greenhouse Efficiency:

  • Reduces heat loss at night and prevents chilling. You will harvest crops 12 to 20 days earlier.
  • Protects plants from sunburn and ensures uniform distribution of sunlight within the greenhouse, as our greenhouse film features high light diffusion.
  • You save on greenhouse film replacement. Thanks to the EVA additive, we have increased film elasticity, ensuring its durability.
  • Reduces expenditures on greenhouse shading materials during the summer months.

Boost your cultivation efficiency by utilizing our wide-format UV6 XL greenhouse films.

Properties of Wide-Format UV6 XL Greenhouse Films:

  • Excellent mechanical properties and outstanding resistance to aging and degradation caused by solar radiation or chemical exposure.
  • High global transmission of visible light (92%), recommended for agricultural crops that require intense illumination and for climates with sharp temperature fluctuations.
  • Effective against fogging due to the incorporation of the AF (anti-fog) additive.
  • High light diffusion, which eliminates shadows and allows light to be distributed evenly across the crop, thereby maximizing yields.
  • Optimal thermal insulation effect, which helps avoid nighttime chilling and the risk of frost damage.
  • Highly recommended for climates characterized by sharp temperature differentials between day and night.
